IMPORTANT: Please can all adult patients wear their own face mask or face covering when attending the surgery in person.  These can help us protect each other and reduce the spread of this disease.  Please do not buy surgical masks which should be prioritised for the NHS.  Thank you

Urgent Clinician

From 16/03/20 all requests for an urgent, same day appointment will have a telephone call with a clinician first.

An appointment in the surgery will then be arranged only if necessary.

If you feel you need an urgent, same day appointment please contact the medical centre on 01603 251600.

This service is for URGENT medical problems only - problems that cannot wait for the next available routine doctor appointment

Only the urgent problem will be dealt with during the consultation - any other issues will need a separate routine appointment.

If the clinician feels your problem is not urgent, you may be asked to re-book into a routine appointment clinic.

This service runs every weekday on a 'walk-in and wait' basis between the hours of 08:30-18:00hrs Monday-Friday.  Between 18:00-18:30hrs you will need to call to speak to the urgent clinician if your medical issue is very urgent and really cannot wait until the next day.

The receptionist have been instructed by the clinicians to ask for your reason for visit.  Patients will be taken on priority basis and occasionally the doctor may be called out in an emergency, thereby increasing the waiting time to be seen.

Alternatively, you can visit the Walk-In Centre (click on the tab above for details...)
